Together We Learn, Grow, and Play!

Our recent Team Summit was a wonderful blend of learning, connection, and fun! Held at the beautiful Parkside Hotel 🏨 in Victoria BC, this was our first get together as a fully remote company after giving up our office earlier this year, and the venue provided the perfect backdrop for a productive and enjoyable retreat.

We started things off with a warm welcome happy hour 🍹 on arrival day—a great way to reconnect and set the tone for the days ahead. The summit officially kicked off with a keynote address by our CEO 🎤, followed by a team highlight: donning our new jackets 🧥 just in time for a fun curling session 🥌 to break the ice (pun intended).

The summit featured engaging workshops designed to boost collaboration and skills:

• Leads Accountability Training 🧑‍💼, focusing on expectations, accountability, and team performance.

• Debugging Tips and Tricks 💻, where we shared best practices for efficient problem-solving.

• UI/UX Optimizations and Testing 🖥️, diving into strategies for creating seamless user experiences.

Initial feedback suggests that everyone had a great time 🎉 and left wishing we had even more workshop sessions—an encouraging sign for future summits as we continue to gather and review all feedback.

Thanks to our Social Ambassadors, our evenings were packed with activities:

• One night, we enjoyed pizza and pinball at Pinhallah 🍕🎰, unleashing our competitive streaks while having a blast.

• Another evening featured a food experience at Japanese Village 🍱, followed by games 🎲 at the Board Game café—a mix of flavors and fun! This seemed to be a standout experience for our team. 

• Our final optional evening activity included dinner at the Sticky Wicket 🍽️, followed by silly games in our very own personal theatre 🎭courtesy again, of the Parkside Hotel—a perfect finish and opportunity to share a few more laughs together.

It’s moments like these that remind us how strong our team is—both in the work we do and the connections we build. Thank you to everyone for making this summit such a success 💪.
